GILT AT THE NEW YORK PALACE NAMES JUSTIN BOGLE EXECUTIVE CHEF

New York, December 3, 2008 - Justin Bogle is named Executive Chef at GILT restaurant.
Bogle has already established himself as a culinary force, having collaborated with GILT's former Executive Chef Christopher Lee since 2004, when they worked together at the Striped Bass in Philadelphia. Bogle went on to join Lee at GILT, where he served as Executive Sous Chef since 2006. A graduate of The Restaurant School at Walnut Hill College in Philadelphia, Bogle has worked at other renowned Philadelphia restaurants including Alma de Cuba. He is currently in the kitchen and his contributions to Gilt's menu continue to evolve.
"I'm excited about the spirit that Justin brings to GILT," said Jeffrey Selden, Executive Director of Food & Beverage at The New York Palace hotel. "Having seen first hand what he is able to accomplish, we look forward to the impact he will make to our menus."

David Carmichael will carry on as GILT's Executive Pastry Chef, continuing to complement Bogle's savories with his vibrant and inventive style. The front of the house staff will continue under the leadership of Restaurant Director Christopher Day who has also built one of the most ambitious restaurant tea programs in the country, offering 65 selections and a wide variety of seasonal and limited special offerings.
The Dining Room at GILT is open for dinner on Tuesday through Saturday, with seating starting at 5:30 pm. A three-course prix fixe pre-theatre dinner for USD 55 is offered until 6:00 pm. A three-course prix fixe dinner is offered for USD 89, and a five-course tasting menu is available for USD 110 from 6:00 pm-10:00 pm Tuesday through Thursday and 6:00 pm- 10:30 pm Friday through Saturday. GILT Bar is open seven nights a week starting at 5:00 pm.
