JOB OVERVIEW:
Responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Finance Division. Supervises all Accounting managers and employees. Ensures that all accounting functions are in line with Company standards. Maximizes the return on financial assets by establishing financial policies, procedures, controls and reporting systems. Ensures legal and regulatory compliance for all accounting and financial reporting functions. Oversees cost and general accounting, accounts receivable/collection, payroll and risk management.
REPORTS TO:
General Manager and Vice President of Finance.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Guides financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures.
2. Protects assets by establishing, monitoring and enforcing internal controls.
3. Maximizes return and limits risk on cash by minimizing cash balances and making investments.
4. Provides status of financial condition of the company by collecting, interpreting, and reporting key financial data.
5. Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements by researching existing and new legislation, consulting with outside advisors, and filing financial reports. Advises management of actions and potential risks.
6. Arranges for audits as required and appropriate.
7. Acts as a liaison between the ownership and management ensuring that all needs are fulfilled and represented.
SECONDARY FUNCTIONS
1. Manages budget and controls expenses effectively.
2. Hires, trains, develops, and appraises staff effectively. Takes corrective action as necessary on a timely basis and in accordance with company policy. Consults with Human Resources as appropriate.
3. Keeps up-to-date on information and technology affecting functional area(s) to increase innovation and ensure compliance.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Essential:
1. BS/BA or equivalent combination of education and experience.
2. 10 or more years experiencing managing an accounting function in a medium- or large-size company.
3. Must be PC literate.
4. Prior auditing and payroll management experience.
Desirable:
1. College degree, Accounting major.
2. 10 year(s) Accounting experience.
3. Certification of previous training in computers.
4. Experience with computers, calculators or word processors.
5. Fluency in a second language, preferable.
6. Familiarity with customs and related international regulations a plus.
