Corporate Responsibility

Delivering top-quality service to our customers underpins all our work. A part of that excellence comes from our commitment to working responsibly – in a way that demonstrates fairness to our people, high ethical standards, engagement with the community and care for the natural environment.

To lead our efforts, our dedicated Corporate Responsibility team, which draws on staff from a number of departments in the hotel, is championing action. Led by a member of the hotel’s executive management, the team is working to develop our systems and processes for managing these issues. Like all the hotels in the Collection, we are measuring progress and reporting on a regular basis.

We are seeking to minimise the environmental impact of our own operations – through continuous monitoring, for example, of our use of water, electricity, gas and steam – and also from the products and services we use in the hotel. We have, for example, switched to using cleaning products that have lower environmental impact. We are taking a range of steps to raise awareness of the issues with our staff, on topics such as waste reduction, where our ‘reduce waste’ team is looking to ensure that everything we do is done as efficiently as possible. Our recycling program covers glass, paper and cardboard.

We also recognize our responsibility to the local community.  We have supported a number of charitable events and different charity organisations, from autism, to literacy, to food donation programmes in the city.
